Engineering Project ManagerVRC Engineered Solutions is seeking an
Engineering Project Manager to drive custom molding projects from concept through production launch. In this highly collaborative role, you'll serve as the key link between customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in molding and manufacturing with exceptional project management skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer results.
What you'll do:- Lead new product and tooling projects from purchase order through production launch
- Review customer designs for manufacturability (DFM) and provide technical recommendations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing
- Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, and customer communications
- Oversee tooling fabrication, mold trials, sample submissions, and launch activities
- Lead APQP activities, including FMEA, PPAP, design reviews, and process validation
- Identify project risks and drive solutions to keep projects on track
- Support successful transitions from development into production
What We're Looking For:Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing customer programs from concept through launch
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in rubber molding, elastomer manufacturing, or plastic injection molding
- Knowledge of tooling design, APQP, FMEA, and PPAP
- PMP Certification
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers
