Amazon is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to support the Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NA) Engineering team, part of Amazon's Last Mile organization. The Last Mile team helps get customer packages from delivery stations to a customer's doorstep.

This is a unique opportunity to own high-impact engineering programs and mechanisms that advance the intelligence and reliability of our last mile business. We are looking for an individual who has experience creating scalable, data-driven solutions to complex reliability and engineering problems. In this role, you will be responsible for driving engineering program governance, compliance reporting, data analytics, and documentation systems that enable leadership visibility, cross-functional alignment, and operational excellence across a portfolio of automation and electrical infrastructure projects.

You will build and maintain the mechanisms that keep our engineering organization running at the highest standard-from automated dashboards and compliance reporting to documentation platforms and stakeholder coordination. You will partner with field engineers, electrical contractors, supply chain teams, and operations leaders to deliver scalable processes that reduce rework, improve quality, and accelerate project delivery.

Key competencies of this position include insisting on the highest standards in root cause quality and corrective action effectiveness; analyzing and deep diving systems performance; inventing and simplifying solutions that improve installation and operational processes; and providing technical expertise to internal customers and stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
• Design and maintain automated reporting pipelines and performance dashboards (e.g., equipment health trends, failure rates, system uptime) that provide leadership with real-time visibility into program health and enable data-driven decisions
• Translate complex data sets into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels, supporting weekly business reviews and program prioritization
• Build and maintain AI-powered compliance tools that aggregate multi-source data (invoices, training records, action items) into consolidated weekly leadership reports
• Manage multiple concurrent engineering projects (electrical, automation, MHE) across the NA delivery station network, coordinating timelines and deliverables with external contractors
• Track project milestones and completion metrics; identify process gaps through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions that reduce rework and accelerate project delivery
• Own weekly organizational compliance reporting on a strict cadence; monitor metrics including training completion, invoice accuracy, and Correction of Error action item closure
• Administer engineering documentation platforms and develop SOPs that standardize processes across the network; drive document governance including version control, review cycles, and user enablement
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Startup Execution, Operations, RME, and external contractors; facilitate status meetings and manage escalations from field engineers through senior leadership

A day in the life

No two days look alike in this role. You will move fluidly between analyzing performance data and building dashboards, facilitating cross-functional alignment meetings, and designing scalable process improvements that eliminate rework across the network. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution-architecting a new reporting mechanism one hour and removing barriers for field teams the next. You thrive in ambiguity, take ownership of problems before they are assigned, and find energy in the variety of challenges that come with supporting and driving measurable impact across a fast-moving engineering organization operating at Amazon scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology

- Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience developing and managing recruiting reports, dashboards, and metrics

- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites

- Experience with automation and any version control tools, or experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications and experience in Database like NoSQL

- Master's degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 3+ years of in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments experience

- Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings, or experience developing MOPs and SWMS for planned works

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

- Experience with AI-powered tools, large language models (LLMs), or automation solutions for business process optimization
