As an Engineering Manager at Boulevard, you'll lead a team of talented engineers building the platform that powers thousands of self-care businesses. You'll balance technical leadership with people management, fostering a culture of excellence while delivering impactful products across a variety of domains. What You'll Do Here: - Lead and develop a team of 5-8 engineers across various experience levels. - Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning. - Partner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver the team roadmap. - Drive technical excellence through code reviews and architectural guidance. - Build a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration and growth. - Manage team delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring successful execution. - Contribute to hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members. - Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response when needed. - Balance hands-on technical contribution with team enablement. What You'll Need To Thrive: - 5+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of people management. - Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams. - Strong technical background with the ability to provide architectural guidance. - Experience with agile development and delivery management. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams. - Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity for your team. - Experience with remote team management and async collaboration. Nice To Have: - Previous experience in B2B SaaS or marketing platforms. - Background in payment systems, scheduling, or commerce platforms. - Experience with Elixir, React, or similar technologies. - MBA or advanced degree in a related field. How We'll Take Care Of You: At Boulevard, we work hard to structure compensation in a way that balances internal equity with local market competitiveness, and we're happy to share a good-faith estimate of the base salary range for this role. For candidates in NYC, the SF Bay Area, and Seattle, the anticipated base salary range is $173,000 - $216,500 per year. For all other U.S. locations, the anticipated base salary range is $153,500 - $211,200 per year. In addition to this base compensation, this role may be eligible to participate in a variable compensation program. Final compensation will vary based on a variety of factors, which include but are not limited to applicable experience, location, and final leveling.
