Engineer, Manufacturing & Process

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:Onsite - Brownwood,TX

Opportunity

Thisposition is responsible for providing engineering support to production areas, increasingthe plant performance level by improving processes and products, following Kohler Operating System principles and company policies, allowing the facilityto operate efficiently, meet its production demands, and cost objectives.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Providesengineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem solving,cost reduction and meeting delivery schedules.
  • Executesdefect elimination projects by using Lean Methodology
  • Promotescontinuous improvements in safety, quality and cost in plant operations.
  • Worksclosely with all involved engineering functions on the development or purchaseof any process equipment.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of anyproducts and capital projects into the plant.
  • Evaluate and assess the applicability and efficiencyof the production methodology, materials, and equipment used inmanufacturing.
  • Assess and support procedures and guidelinesestablished for Manufacturing Engineering to execute design changes,implementation of procedures and reference documents, and all responsibilitiesof Process Engineering.
  • Develop and implement improvements using newtechnology, industry expertise, corporate and local resources, and/or othermeans to optimize the manufacturing process, quality, and marketability of theplants products as well as improve the effectiveness of manufacturingoperations, lower production costs and improve safety.
  • Keep current on all manufacturing processes in theplant in the areas of safety, quality, cost, capacity and material flow.
  • Monitor and research new technical developments andmanufacturing processes for possible application in the plant.
  • Support projects aimed at improving overall warrantyperformance from both a cost and unit failure rate perspective.
  • Champion continuous improvement and cost reductionefforts to constantly improve the process and lower costs.
  • Provide assistance in vendor selection, equipmentspecification, and quotation reviews.


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline is required.
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or related environment is recommended.
  • Experience with Process Control and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
