The Impact You'll MakeThe Logistics & Material Flow Engineer supports warehouse operations, internal logistics, material flow, packaging, kitting, shipping, and distribution processes for the Utica liquid-cooling site. This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of materials and finished goods from receiving through shipment to improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer responsiveness.
Success in this role is measured by improved material flow, warehouse efficiency, launch readiness, and logistics performance.
What You'll Be DoingResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design and improve warehouse layouts, material flow, storage strategies, kitting, receiving, shipping, and finished goods processes.
- Analyze and improve inventory movement, storage utilization, replenishment methods, pick paths, and material handling efficiency.
- Develop standard work, visual controls, process documentation, and warehouse flow solutions.
- Support product launches and production ramp-ups through space planning, packaging validation, and line-side material presentation.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant material flow processes.
- Drive lean logistics initiatives including FIFO, kanban, supermarkets, visual replenishment, and 5S improvements.
- Utilize ERP/MRP and warehouse data to identify inventory, transaction, and process improvement opportunities.
- Train warehouse and production personnel on logistics processes, replenishment methods, and standard work.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in warehouse operations, internal logistics, material flow, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP/MRP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience with warehouse layout design, lean logistics, packaging, or distribution operations.
- Experience supporting product launches, production ramp-ups, or facility expansions.
Job Criteria
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, inventory control, replenishment, packaging, and material flow principles.
- Ability to analyze logistics performance, space utilization, inventory accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Experience developing standard work, visual controls, and process improvements.
- Understanding of lean logistics concepts including FIFO, kanban, supermarkets, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams.
What You'll Get from UsThe anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 USD per year, based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
