Engineer II- Manufacturing, Components Assembly Performs a wide variety of mechanical, electromechanical, subsystems, and control engineering assignments at a high degree of complexity with minimal direction from the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This position has significant latitude for independent action and decision.
Position DutiesEssential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control.
- Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure the quality and safety of the job.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes.
- Establish time standards and identify new equipment, tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing processes and support capital equipment purchases.
- Participate in concurrent engineering to ensure new and legacy designs are manufacturable.
- Collaborate with development engineering to successfully transition new products to production.
- Drive and support Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop, including value stream mapping, cellular manufacturing, set-up time reduction, and overall waste reduction.
- Identify and spearhead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time and lower production costs.

QualificationsEducation & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Electrical, or other related Engineering field.
- 3 + years of industry experience
- Experience working on automating processes/systems and implementing lean manufacturing.
- Ability to work closely with design, quality engineering, and production teams.
- Experience with electronic assembly and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Light to moderate lifting is required
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
- Must be able to work on Saturdays as needed to meet production goals

Compensation Pay Range: $101,000 - $120,000Must be authorized to work in the U.S.International Trade Compliance Requirements :This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
