Position SummarySamsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced engineer interested in working alongside cross-functional teams of professionals, with a focus on project management, execution, and factory wide initiatives. The key focus will be planning and execution of equipment move-in and start-up of a new Semiconductor factory. This position incorporates macro level planning for overall project to align several different departments and stakeholders across the company.
Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:- Support expansion planning, including forecasting of the budgeting, installation and qualification of equipment.
- Coordinate, manage, and report on multiple assigned projects regarding work progress, project accounting, and forecasted schedule.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
- Solve problems: assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/ or resolve the problem.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Measure project performance, report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Creates and updates project scope for complex individual projects.
- Setup timelines/schedules & present to the customer.
- Develops & maintains necessary records & files for efficient operation.
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:- 4 Year degree in STEM.
- 6+ years of experience in facilities or high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with project management is preferred.
- Industrial equipment hook-up experience highly preferred.
- Factory start-up / retrofit experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills are required to communicate technical content to various organizations.
- Successful candidates should be detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.
The current base salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
