Full Job Description
Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo, IA
Function: Product Engineering (CA)
Title: Engineer, Drivetrain - 123397
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer for the Tracks Module Group located in Waterloo, IA or Silvis, IL you will:

  • Update models, drawings and assemblies per CI projects
  • Coordinate with the Product Verification and Validation teams to develop test plans for CI projects
  • Support quality issues related to track warranty
  • Gather, analyze and make decisions based upon available information and seek out additional information when necessary to ensure design changes are successfully implemented
  • Provide technical mentoring to team members

What Skills You Need

  • Design engineering experience with knowledge of drivetrain components such as structural castings, bearings, gears, shafts, seals, or similar type of components
  • Proficiency with Creo or other 3D CAD modeling software
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and system modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a team with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


What Makes You Stand Out

  • 2 or more years of Drivetrain Design experience in Agriculture, Construction or Forestry vehicles
  • Knowledge and understanding of Romax and FEA results or similar engineering tools
  • Experience with Product Verification and Validation
  • Experience with manufacturing or quality control


Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering. Others may apply.
