Job Description

The main function of a Software Planning engineer is to evaluate and coordinate the engine software design content and schedule, software feature functionality and quality to enable optimal operation engine systems and processes. They execute the software release for Test Cell operations and Field customers. This role requires a significant amount to daily collaboration with internal customers, teammates, and management. Organization and Communication skills are paramount to this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, evaluate and validate Engine Software content with upstream, parallel, and downstream partners.
  • Execute Engine Software release process in to meet schedule and cost expectations.
  • Investigate Engine Software field defects and coordinate their resolution and validation.
  • Continue to improve and document the Engine Software Planning and Releasing process.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required and 5-7 years experience required.

Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of Diesel Engine Operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Previous experience with to software development and validation
