IntroductionWe are looking for a Product Specialist Engineer - CNS Crusher Wears to join our Crusher Wears - Product Management / Engineering team in the Minerals business area. In this role, you will play a critical role in advancing crusher wear part performance, improving operational efficiency, and delivering value-added solutions for global mining customers.
You will report to the Product Director, Mining Crusher Wears, and the role location is Sorocaba, Brazil and it involves up to 20% of travel.
Team you will belong toYou will join the Crusher Wears - Product Management / Engineering team, which focuses on developing and optimizing crusher wear solutions for mining applications. The team supports product performance improvements, lifecycle enhancement initiatives, and innovation efforts that help customers maximize the value of their operations.
The team collaborates closely with Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Foundry quality teams, and other stakeholders across the organization. Team members are located globally, enabling collaboration across regions and supporting mining customers around the world.
What you'll do- Lead cross-functional engineering projects focused on crusher wear part performance, lifecycle improvement, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and foundry quality teams to deliver project objectives on time.
- Utilize field performance data, wear analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and other data-driven methodologies to evaluate and improve products.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on crusher wear part initiatives.
- Identify and drive innovation opportunities by leveraging global best practices and customer insights.
- Support competitor benchmarking and industry trend analysis to inform product development and strategy.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for stakeholders and leadership.
What you'll bring- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in crusher wear parts is highly preferred. Experience in mining equipment, heavy industrial components, or related industries is also beneficial.
- Proven project management capabilities with experience leading technical initiatives and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Knowledge of wear mechanisms, materials selection, and manufacturing processes related to cast or wear-resistant components.
- Proficiency with engineering design and product lifecycle tools, including Siemens NX, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, finite element analysis software, and related PLM systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Ability to analyze technical data and translate findings into practical product improvements.
- Advanced English is mandatory
Nice to have- Experience working in a global matrix organization.
- Knowledge of major crusher OEMs or wear part suppliers.
- Exposure to field operations, site visits, or customer interaction in mining or quarry environments.
