As an Engagement Manager II, you will be responsible for:
- Owning customer success and being the trusted advisor that helps customers achieve their desired outcomes using Akamai solutions.
- Performing research and conducting assessments to identify trends and provide guidance that influences customer architecture and adoption decisions
- Architecting and managing web performance, cloud computing and security solutions.
- Defining an account strategy, establishing key relationships, and building and maintaining a project pipeline.
- Leading and mentoring a cross functional team, cultivating a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and excellence.
- Partnering with sales and pre-sales to help expand the use of services and solutions.
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or its equivalent
- Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
- Have experience managing and delivering large technical programs successfully
- Be knowledgeable on Devops, web performance, and core internet technologies such as DNS, TLS, and HTTP
- Be knowledgeable on information security fundamentals, common threats and vulnerabilities, as well as the tools and methods used to protect data, applications, and infrastructure
- Be familiar with compute technologies and architecture principles with basic knowledge and skills to design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems

CompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
