Job Description

The Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business is experiencing unprecedented growth. Our two design centers in Endicott, New York and Austin, Texas are the home for our next generation technical solutions. Engineers will develop flight and mission-critical products for commercial and military customers. You will have the opportunity to help design and develop the next generation: Fly-By-Wire Flight Controls, Aircraft Engine Controls, Ground Vehicle Power Management Systems, Aircraft Electrification Systems, Advanced Air Mobility Systems, Autonomous Flight Systems, Flight Deck Systems, Cabin Management Systems, Weapon Control Systems, and Mission Systems for the world's most prominent aircraft and vehicle manufacturers.

When you become a member of our team, you will work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Software, Test, and Operations during all phases of the product development and production support lifecycles. These roles involve a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work and will take the form of a hybrid work schedule, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Position Summary

Join our team of Analog Circuit Design Engineers who are tasked with the architecture, design, test, and verification of high-reliability analog circuitry. In this position you will support the development and product support of advanced avionics, for both military and commercial aircraft, including engine control computers, flight control systems, aircraft propulsion systems, cabin and cockpit electronics.

As a Senior Analog Circuit Design Engineer you will make impacts in the following ways:
  • Design, analysis and verification of analog-to-digital converted interfaces such as RTDs, thermocouples, strain gauges, VDTs, synchros, resolvers and various voltage and current monitors.
  • Design, analysis and verification of digital-to-analog converted interfaces such as solenoid and relay drivers, torque motor drivers, stepper motor drivers, voltage and current sources.
  • Collaborate with EMI/EMC Engineers and Systems Engineers to design robust and reliable analog electronics
  • Support aftermarket in troubleshoot and root cause corrective actions for field returns, production test failures, and product improvements.
  • Own and execute the part selection, schematic capture, PWB layout, circuit performance analysis and simulation and design verification testing
  • Conduct research and development that improves processing capability, signal integrity, reliability while reducing size, weight, area, power and cost (SWAP-C)
  • Leverage and reuse existing designs within the CAS portfolio to reduce risk, schedule and cost of new development
  • Collaborate with and support other functional areas such as electronic packaging, firmware, systems engineering, test equipment and operations.

Required Skills and Education

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5 or more years of industry experience designing and testing analog circuitry
  • Experience with mixed-signal ADC and DACs, analog signal conditioning, passive & active filters, operational amplifiers circuits, and multiplexers.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and debug
  • Experience with design analysis tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, Matlab and MathCad.
  • Experience performing component level circuit stress and derating analysis
  • Experience in circuit tolerance analysis considering end of life and environmental limits
  • Experience in designing for EMI/EMC and Lightning Protection
  • Familiar with PWB design, component layout and trace routing
