Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to join our design team in Merrimack, New Hampshire!
Typical duties assigned to this position:
- Assist in translating system requirements into compliant complex printed board assembly designs.
- Support to technical trade studies, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades, laboratory test and troubleshooting.
- Integrate / Evaluate hardware module performance using simulation tools and prototype hardware in a Laboratory environment
- Create design documentation and verification test procedures.
- Work with hardware suppliers
- Support the debug of complex circuits
- Create/review technical documents such as BOMs, test procedures, drawings, specifications and reports

Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
- Familiar with electrical engineering design, schematic capture and analysis tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical capability.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills and Education- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with printed board assembly (PBA, PCB) design tools
- Experience with FPGA hardware design
- Local power supply design
- Knowledge of memory interfaces such as DDR, QSPI
- Knowledge of data transfer protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, JESD 204, I2C, JTAG
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing and test methodologies
- Experience developing compact embedded systems for harsh environments
- Experience with product development and support of electronics equipment
- Familiarity with AS9145 compliant processes
