Full Job Description
Join our collaborative team of HR consultants as a key strategic partner supporting employee relations, employment compliance, and HR policy development. In this role, you will provide expert consultation and guidance to HR leaders, business leaders, and executives on complex employee relations matters, disability accommodations, workplace investigations, and other specialized HR situations.

You will also play a critical role in ensuring organizational compliance across multiple states by monitoring evolving employment laws and regulations, assessing impacts to the business, and partnering with cross-functional teams to implement necessary program, policy, process, and system changes.

This position offers the opportunity to influence a broad range of HR initiatives, contribute to the development of best practices, and support a dynamic organization through thoughtful consultation, strong partnership, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings deep employee relations expertise, strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, exceptional communication and writing skills, and a passion for solving complex business challenges across a wide variety of HR disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Consultation

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leaders, managers, and executives on complex and escalated employee relations matters.

  • Provide guidance on disability accommodations, workplace investigations, performance management issues, complaints, conflict resolution, and other challenging employment situations.

  • Assess risk and recommend practical, compliant solutions that align with organizational values and business objectives.


Compliance & Employment Law

  • Maintain expertise in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, with a strong focus on multi-state compliance.

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, evaluate organizational impact, and lead implementation of required changes.

  • Partner with HR, Legal, Finance, and business leaders to ensure policies, programs, and employment practices remain compliant and effective.

  • Lead or support compliance reviews, audits, and strategic HR initiatives.


HR Policy & Program Development

  • Lead the development, review, interpretation, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Ensure policies remain current, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals and evolving business needs.

  • Provide expert interpretation and guidance on HR policies and practices to leaders and HR partners across the organization.


HR Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with HR centers of excellence, HR Business Partners, and operational teams to enhance HR programs, processes, and initiatives.

  • Research and apply HR best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory developments to improve organizational effectiveness.

  • Lead cross-functional projects from planning through implementation, ensuring successful execution and stakeholder alignment.


Communication & Influence

  • Develop, write, and edit HR communications, leadership guidance, program materials, business recommendations, and supporting resources.

  • Communicate complex HR and compliance topics clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Build strong partnerships across the organization while serving as a subject matter expert on a broad range of HR topics.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, employment law, and multi-state compliance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in employment law, HR compliance, and employee relations best practices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and risk assessment skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and partner effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.

Wage: $100,000 - $135,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for annual discretionary bonus.
