Employee Benefits Account Manager

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in employee benefits or related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong understanding of benefits plan design and compliance
• Active insurance license or ability to obtain within 4 months
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of fully insured clients and some self-insured accounts
• Act as the main contact between clients and insurance carriers
• Advise clients on compliance with benefits regulations
• Oversee new group insurance contracts and annual renewals
• Implement wellness initiatives and communication strategies
• Support marketing and placement of new benefit products
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through plan modeling
• Coordinate and manage client meetings, including on-site visits
• Create employee communications for benefits updates and renewals
• Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes
