Join us as an Emergency Veterinarian at VCA Bakersfield Veterinary Hospital and you'll quickly discover that you're well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities and a talented team.   • We have a robust team of 11 doctors, 40 veterinary assistants, 12 registered veterinary technicians, 14 receptionists, 11 kennel assistants, 3 janitorial team members, a dedicated pharmacy assistant, and 5 members of management.
  • Facilities/technology: 7 exam rooms, an overnight sleeping room, digital radiographs, dental radiographs, ligasure, ultrasound, 2 oxygen chambers, a dedicated surgical suite, a dedicated dental suite, we offer boarding services
  • Hands-free radiology strongly encouraged
  • AAHA accredited
  • Board certified cardiologist, criticalists, and dermatologists that visit our clinic at least once per month seeing cases.
  • VCA Bakersfield has been in operations since 1929.
  • Opportunity to see a large variety of cases as VCA Bakersfield is the only 24/7 emergency hospital in the area
  • Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship

Schedule
  • Full-Time, Part-Time, Rotating (put specifics if you have a specific one to fill) Overnights, swings, and weekends.
  • Hours of Operation: 24 hours

Compensation
  • The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $180,000.
  • Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials.
  • This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
