Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree required
• State veterinary license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or equivalent internship
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to high-quality emergency care
• Willingness to participate in continuing education

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients with critical conditions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis and treatment options
• Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and interns
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Engage in community outreach and education on emergency care
