Job DescriptionWestbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital (WVRH), located in West Bridgewater, MA, is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 9-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER positions at Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital.
Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital is a modern facility spanning over 14,000 square feet, designed to maximize patient care while providing our team with the tools, space, and technology needed to deliver high-quality veterinary medicine in a teaching and learning environment. Our emergency doctors manage receiving and inpatient care, with opportunities to take on soft tissue surgery cases. You'll work alongside our in-house IM, SX, and ECC specialty departments, as well as collaborate with a broad network of specialists across Ethos. We have friendly and well-trained support staff, with several credentialed technicians.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Training Location• Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital - 20 Cabot Rd, Woburn, MA, 01801
Program Highlights- 5-day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week, usually consecutive
- Rotate with other specialty services during the training program
- Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts
- No on-call
- Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom, weekly live virtual didactic rounds, and weekly journal club meetings
- Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
- Hands-on surgical and wet labs during training, with the option to receive advanced soft tissue surgery training in common ER procedures, if desired, at Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital following mentorship at Mass Vet
