Clarksville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 9-12 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at our hospital post-mentorship!
Since our opening in April 2020, we have rapidly grown into a leading hospital respected for delivering cutting-edge Emergency, Internal Medicine, and Surgery services to the pets and families of Clarksville and its neighboring regions. Our ER Immerse Mentees enjoy training both in house and with the multitude of specialists in our sister location in Nashville, Nashville Veterinary Specialists. This collaborative partnership allows for seamless access to specialized services and consultations, enriching our ability to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our group has growing internship and mentorship programs; many of which transition into emergency doctors, fostering a truly supportive learning environment.
Our 8500 square-foot facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including on-site CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, laparoscopy, endoscopy, cystoscopy, and electrodiagnostics. The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Work authorization in the United States is a requirement for the position. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered.
Program Duration/Commitment - 6 month training program beginning June or July 2027
- 1 year commitment as an ER clinician at CVES following training

Program Highlights - Rotate with specialty services during the training program, both at home site and NVS
