Full Job Description
Job Summary :
The role of the Physician Assistant is to functionally support and extend the role of the Physician by providing patient-focused evaluation and communication. Provides care for specific patients under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Physician. At all times, the Physician Assistant will function in accordance with the applicable articles of Indiana Code regulating the practice of the Physician Assistant. As changes to Indiana Code are advanced, the Physician Assistant will comply with those requirements as well. Under current Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, all medical record entries and/or orders written by the Physician Assistant require later Physician authentication. A Physician will directly supervise procedures unless competency and Physician approval is documented.

Job Description

Education and Experience Required:

1. Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
2. Previous work experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
3. Must maintain required continuing medical education.

Mandatory Licensure/Certifications:

1. Certification from the National Commission of Physician Assistants.

2. Licensed to practice in Indiana.
