The Role:We're seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to create embedded software and control solutions across the product lifecycle. You'll translate system requirements into reliable software, influence architecture and communication interfaces, develop control algorithms, and support testing, validation, deployment, and field troubleshooting. Working with systems, hardware, software, quality, and validation teams, you'll provide technical expertise while helping deliver safe, reliable products.
What You'll Be Doing:- Design and tune control algorithms for embedded and real-time applications.
- Translate product and system requirements into software architectures, specifications, and control strategies.
- Develop production-quality C/C++ software for microcontroller-based platforms.
- Implement communication software aligned with applicable standards and engineering principles.
- Create and maintain software requirements, technical documentation, specifications, and requirements traceability.
- Build unit, integration, and system-level test strategies to verify software performance and reliability.
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, product deployment, and post-release issues.
- Participate in architecture, design, code, and safety reviews while supporting functional safety analyses, hazard mitigation, and safety mechanisms.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, quality, and validation teams to improve coding standards, testing methodologies, and engineering processes.
What We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of embedded software and control systems development.
- Proficiency in C or C++ programming and embedded microcontroller-based platforms.
- Solid foundation in control theory and algorithm design, including PID control.
- Background implementing, testing, and validating control algorithms for embedded applications.
- Experience developing safety-critical products and applying functional safety processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Thorough understanding of software verification and validation methodologies.
- Effective analytical, debugging, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
What Sets You Apart:- Functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, UL 1998, or work with ASIL/SIL-rated products.
- Background in battery management systems (BMS), motor controls, power electronics, energy or fuel cell systems, robotics, or industrial automation.
- MATLAB/Simulink, model-based development, or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Embedded communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, or UART.
- Familiarity with FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), ASPICE, MISRA C/C++, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or software quality tools.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:Salary - $133,605 - $171,290 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
