As a Senior Electronics Engineer and organizational technical authority, you will hold the blueprint for mission-critical infrastructure. You will bridge complex engineering design with large-scale project execution, leading teams that deliver full-spectrum hardware and systems solutions directly supporting warfighter readiness. If you are ready to apply your technical mastery where national security, advanced software integration, and high-impact engineering converge, your next mission starts here.
What You Will Accomplish:
- In this role, you won't just oversee tasks-you will steer technical direction and shape infrastructure solutions from concept to deployment. You will:
- Architect Tomorrow's Agile Environments: Deliver full-spectrum infrastructure solutions, designing and modernizing the physical foundation and electronics hardware environments that power high-consequence software development.
- Serve as the Definitive Technical Authority: Act as the organization's lead subject matter expert in electronics engineering, establishing engineering standards, resolving complex architectural bottlenecks, and making critical technical decisions.
- Guide & Elevate Engineering Teams: Direct, evaluate, and mentor multi-disciplinary engineers throughout multi-phase development lifecycles, ensuring rigorous design verification, safety, and operational excellence.
- Drive Full-Lifecycle Project Execution: Champion project management from initial requirement synthesis through testing, integration, and operational fielding-ensuring cost, schedule, and technical milestones align with strategic directorate objectives.
- Safeguard Operational Readiness: Translate strategic Air Force operational imperatives into concrete engineering requirements, ensuring uninterrupted mission reliability across critical weapon and software systems.
This Opportunity Is for You If You Are:
- A Proven Technical Leader: You command deep expertise in electronics engineering principles and possess the credibility and vision to lead complex, multi-phase technical programs.
- A Systems & Infrastructure Visionary: You understand the critical interdependence between physical hardware engineering and agile software systems, anticipating tomorrow's technology needs today.
- A Decisive Project Executor: You blend technical depth with robust project management rigor-comfortably balancing scope, risk, schedule, and resources without compromising engineering integrity.
- A Mentor & Collaborative Evaluator: You excel at guiding the technical efforts of other engineers, providing constructive design evaluations, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and shared accountability.
- Mission-Driven: You are committed to public service, national defense, and delivering solutions where quality and reliability directly impact real-world operations.
The missions of tomorrow depend on the engineering foundations built today. If you are an experienced electronics engineer seeking purposeful leadership, high-visibility project ownership, and the opportunity to safeguard our nation's technological edge, the AFSC Software Directorate welcomes your expertise.
