Pay rate: $40.54/hour plus applicable shift differential

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Journeyman Electrician coordinates work with other Maintenance staff, Lead Electrician and Contractors. Works closely with production to continually improve safety and equipment productivity and performance. Accountable for the upkeep and proper functionality of all electrical equipment and systems in the assigned facility.

SHIFT: Graveyard (Must be able to work a 12-hour shift, graveyard hours)

MAJOR TASKS:

Work under the supervision of Lead Electrician and Maintenance Manager.

Ensure the proper functionality of all electrical equipment in the facility.

Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Appropriate use and handling of electrical testing and repair equipment.

Maintain electrical parts inventories records and place orders for spare parts and equipment.

Retain and update electrical repair and maintenance log.

Read electrical prints.

Schedule routine checks for spotting any malfunctions, following all safety norms and standard operating procedures of working.

Attending job training activities.

Coordinating work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments.

Experience in reading, understanding and troubleshooting complex PLC programs.

Completing all tasks and general duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Good computer skills, PLC software, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook.

Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units and PLC's.

Must have good understanding of PLC systems as well as the ability to make alterations to the PLC program.

Sound understanding of handling and using electrical repair tools and equipment.

Ability to effectively manage time and coordinate work functions with co-workers.

Education and Qualifications:

High School degree, diploma or GED equivalent.

Current and valid OR General or Manufacturing Plant Electrician license.

2 - 3 years of PLC troubleshooting and repair as an electrician in an industrial/manufacturing setting.

2-3 years' proficient experience at troubleshooting all types of electrical equipment.

RELOCATION PACKAGE PROVIDED TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE.
