IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide. Weare currently seeking anElectrician Journeymanto join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant. This plant produces granulesfrom raw materialfor ourvertically integrated shingle manufacturing operation.

Job Summary

The Electrician Journeymanis responsible forinstalling,maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the granule manufacturing plant. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of plant machinery, motors, control systems, instrumentation, and facility electrical systems whilemaintainingcompliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. This role willreportto the Electrical Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install,maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.

  • Diagnose and correct electrical failures using testing and diagnostic equipment.

  • Maintain and repair motors, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation.

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Install conduit, wiring, panels, switches, and related electrical components.

  • Support plant production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.

  • Assistwith equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with MSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety standards.

  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.

  • Utilizing Maximo computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

  • Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, work orders, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with operators, production personnel, and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent trade qualification.

  • High school diploma or GEDrequired.

  • Minimum 3 65 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred.

  • Experience with manufacturing, processing, or industrial plant operations preferred.

  • Experience in implementing electrical safety.

  • Experience with electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and industrial automation.Knowledge of Allen Bradley AC Drives, ControlLogix PLC, Relay Logic skills is an asset

  • Proficient in troubleshooting,diagnosingand testing PLC automated circuit,motorsand motor control circuits

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.

  • Knowledge of relevant electrical safety codes

  • Knowledge ofvarious instrumentation sensors and transmitters

  • Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software (Maximo knowledge is a plus)

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior electricians

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential

  • Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities

  • Must be able to work in a team setting withothertradesman

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Rotatingshift, holidays, and overtime may berequired.

  • Must wearrequiredpersonal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability tolift upto 50pounds.

  • Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment.

  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces asrequired.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
