Responsibilities

  • Make daily work assignments to support test schedules
  • Maintain awareness of problems impacting scheduled testing
  • Supervise test technicians' activities on the ship
  • Review paperwork daily for completeness and accuracy
  • Evaluate personnel performance and recommend training or disciplinary actions
  • Ensure training is up-to-date to meet testing requirements
  • Enforce adherence to Electric Boat policies and procedures
  • Assess and report manpower needs to meet schedules
  • Administer disciplinary actions as necessary, in collaboration with HR
  • Complete and maintain qualifications documentation

Full Job Description
Overview

The Shipyard Test Organization is seeking a highly motivated candidate for Electrical Test Supervisor for the Columbia Class. The successful candidate should possess effective planning skills with the demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects in a fast paced team environment. 

 

Specific responsibilities are but not limited to: 

 

  • Make daily work assignments to support test schedules.
  • Maintain ACTE/CTE's awareness of problems relating to successful completion of scheduled testing.
  • Provide direct supervision of test technicians’ activities on the ship.
  • Maintain required paperwork (review paperwork daily for completeness and accuracy).
  • Evaluate the performance of personnel and make recommendations for advancement, training or discipline.
  • Ensure direct report’s training is up to date to meet all testing requirements (daily).
  • Ensure all Electric Boat policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Review and report manpower needs as required, meeting schedules.
  • Must be capable of taking effective disciplinary action in accordance with company policy and procedures and confer with Human Resources concerning employee problems and manner of resolution
  • Complete and maintain 6010, S&EP, and Work Controls Qualifications
