THE ROLEBring your wiring design skills to some of the most custom aircraft interiors in the world. Working from the program statement of work, you will create wire diagrams and wire kits for VIP interiors, largely on wide body aircraft, and make sure every design is certifiable. You will join a team that values clear communication and supports you while you learn its tools.
WHAT YOU'LL DODesign & Document- Create wire diagrams and wire kits for aircraft electrical systems on active VIP completion programs.
- Ensure all designs and documentation are certifiable for the program.
- Learn and work within a proprietary electrical design tool, similar to AutoCAD Electrical, with train up time provided.
Coordinate & Communicate- Work closely with engineering leads and other disciplines as designs integrate.
- Ask questions freely. This team values communication and would rather you ask and be wrong than guess.
Impact: Only a handful of companies in the world complete VIP interiors on wide body aircraft. Every program is custom built, so you won't get stuck doing the same thing over and over.
WHAT YOU BRINGRequired- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Mid level: 3+ years of aircraft electrical systems or wire harness design experience, with a solid base that lets you come in and turn the crank. Senior level: 7+ years.
- Experience creating wire diagrams with an electrical CAD tool such as AutoCAD Electrical, and willingness to learn a new tool
- Working knowledge of aircraft wiring standards and certification documentation
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to perform this work within the United States
- Able to work onsite in the Bothell, WA area
Preferred- EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) experience
- VIP or business jet completions background
- Experience learning a proprietary or less common electrical CAD tool
