Electrical Project Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead technical efforts on a variety of engineering projects, working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys both hands-on design work and growing into project leadership responsibilities.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership & Design
  • Lead technical tasks and contribute to the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects
  • Develop and refine design concepts in collaboration with Project Managers
  • Apply advanced engineering principles, standards, and software in project execution
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on technical assignments

Project Deliverables
  • Prepare and review engineering documents, including:
    • Plans, specifications, and reports
    • Calculations and design analyses
    • Quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
  • Participate in client, project, and public meetings (including occasional evenings)
  • Support cross-functional teamwork to achieve project goals


Project Execution
  • Assist with project planning, including scope, schedule, and budget development
  • Monitor and communicate changes in scope, schedule, and workload
  • Support quality control and ensure deliverables meet firm standards


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical design experience and familiarity with industry standards
  • Proficiency with engineering and design software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and collaborate with diverse teams


Work Environment & Physical Requirements
