What You'll Be Contributing: Field Engineering- Support field crews and supervisors with the interpretation of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Coordinate field activities, including work planning, crews, materials, subcontractors, progress tracking, and site documentation.
- Participate in site health and safety activities, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety meetings, and toolbox talks.
- Support field supervision, quality-control activities, inspections, and project progress reporting.
Office Engineering- Perform quantity and material takeoffs, basic engineering calculations, and technical drawings to support field operations.
- Assist with project schedules, document control, RFIs/TQRs, change orders, and other project controls.
- Support the preparation of subcontractor bid packages, material and equipment requisitions, and other project documentation.
- Provide technical support to field operations and coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
Estimating- Review project drawings and specifications and identify potential risks, discrepancies, and other items requiring attention.
- Perform material quantity takeoffs and support the preparation of project estimates and bids.
- Analyze historical project data, productivity rates, and costs to support estimating activities.
What Sets You Apart: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of field construction experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience working in fast-track design-build environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing project priorities.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly within Canada and to the United States
- An essential component of this position is regular and consistent business travel, mainly to the United States. It is a requirement of this position that the candidate satisfy the applicable criteria set by the US Immigration and Nationality Act for business travel to the United States, which criteria include, for example, the ability to demonstrate that they are a citizen or national of a country that is eligible for the Visa Waiver Program or are otherwise visa exempt.
