Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Maintenance
  • Develop and implement equipment reliability initiatives
  • Support production teams in optimizing plant productivity and quality
  • Serve as a technical resource for production personnel
  • Provide technical leadership on long-term solutions to recurring problems
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems as needed
  • Review and improve predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Participate in plant operation and improvement meetings, and share outcomes with maintenance staff
  • Partner with production departments to resolve issues affecting plant operability
  • Help manage and administer the plant control network

Projects
  • Lead improvement projects - scoping, cost estimation, capital requests, fieldwork supervision, and commissioning
  • Investigate recurring equipment failures to identify root causes and long-term fixes
  • Oversee outside contractors as needed

General
  • Collaborate with plant teams to meet overall plant objectives
  • Take on other tasks as assigned
  • Communicate with area coordinators as needed
  • Step in as designee for the E/I Coordinator role when needed


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred)
  • 3+ years of industrial experience in electrical and control systems


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills (verbal and written), with solid organizational ability
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and support maintenance teams, with demonstrated potential to grow into a leadership role
  • Solid understanding of good engineering and safety practices
  • Ability to estimate, plan, schedule, and complete work orders on time, including managing budgets and estimating project costs


Environmental and Physical Requirements

  • Frequently: climbing ladders/stairs, standing, bending, exposure to temperature changes, plant visits
  • Occasionally: lifting (avg. 20 lbs, up to 70 lbs), squatting, office work
  • Rarely: operating mobile equipment (Cushman/pickup truck)
