Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking an electrical I&C design/engineer for our Tempe office who will work with a competent multi-discipline team of peers with a wide range of experience levels. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry leaders.

Responsibilities:
• Designing electrical systems and preparing construction documents with varying degrees of complexity. You will work with power, lighting, and distribution systems as well as heat trace and semiconductor manufacturing equipment installations.
• Performing I&C design, including specifying instruments appropriate for the process system and hazardous classification where they are used, creating and updating point management databases, developing instrument tagging nomenclature in coordination with mechanical and chemical engineers, assigning points and identifying availability in the field, and designing new PLC panels and networking.
• Designing other low voltage systems, including telecommunications, life safety and security systems.
• Preparing engineering studies for power and low voltage systems that survey existing conditions, evaluate capacities, and make recommendations for corrections and upgrades.
• Coordinating with other engineering team members, including those from other technical disciplines.
• Technical writing for engineering documents.
• Conducting site investigations to confirm and document field conditions.
• Programming control systems (PLC, DCS, and/or DDC)
• Configuring OIT/SCADA systems
• Configuring field devices including VFDs, instruments, and OEM devices.

• Possessing an EIT certification or PE registration is a plus, but not required.
