This opportunity is intended for conversion to a full-time role that will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future (full-time conversion pending performance evaluation post internship and available headcount). Interested candidates must be currently eligible to work in the US AND must not require work authorization sponsorship in the future. Job SummaryThis internship supports ink chemistry and materials engineering projects related to ink formulation, product quality, manufacturing scalability, and supply assurance. The intern will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supplier teams to conduct experiments, analyze technical data, assess risks, and recommend solutions.
Responsibilities- Formulate and reformulate inks to meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and supply requirements.
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments involving pigments, polymers, colloids, and nanoparticle suspensions.
- Support the scale-up and transfer of formulations from R&D to manufacturing.
- Evaluate material changes, quality concerns, and potential supply risks.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional R&D and manufacturing teams.
- Document experimental results and communicate technical findings and recommendations.
- Use data analysis, project management, and AI-assisted tools to support project execution.
Education and Experience Required- Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field
- Must be enrolled full time at an accredited university.
- Has no more than 24 months of prior work experience professionally related to the intern requisition they are applying to (not including internships, teaching assistance, research work, or military experience).
- Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027, and not require sponsorship in the future.
- Academic, laboratory, or research experience involving pigment chemistry, polymers, colloids, or nanoparticle suspensions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge and Skills- Ink formulation or materials formulation.
- Experimental design and data analysis.
- Change management and risk mitigation.
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- AI-assisted productivity and analytical tools.

The pay range for this position is $45to $52 per hour (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
