Job Purpose

The Estimator plays a critical role in our organization by accurately estimating costs for various electrical construction projects. Through meticulous analysis of project technical requirements, this role ensures that cost estimates are comprehensive, transparent, and aligned with project objectives. The Estimator collaborates closely with project stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and successful project execution.

What You'll Do
  • Scope & Inputs: Review plans/specs and clarify requirements and assumptions with stakeholders.
  • Takeoffs & Estimating: Perform quantity takeoffs and build cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment, overhead) using estimating software and maintained cost databases.
  • Pricing & Procurement: Source and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes; negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Risk & Value: Identify risks, incorporate contingencies, and propose value-engineering or alternative methods to meet technical needs cost-effectively.
  • Proposals & Bids: Prepare complete estimates and bid packages with clear methodologies, breakdowns, and qualifications.
  • Quality Control: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability of all estimating deliverables.


What You'll Bring
