Full Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will directly drive productivity by maximizing equipment reliability and optimizing automation systems, reduce equipment downtime and ensure safety compliance. Monitor and assess machinery for early indicators of electrical failure, ensure electrical safety and regulatory compliance, lead and manage maintenance and capital projects effectively, troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical related issues. This position will provide critical technical leadership, mentorship, and development support for the electricians while strengthening the overall reliability and capability of the maintenance organization.

Essential Functions:

  • This position will be a back-up for Process Control.
  • Develop or review electrical cost estimate and designs for Engineering projects ensuring applicable codes and requirements are met.
  • Manage assigned capital and operational improvement to ensure projects meet objectives.
  • Support operational and maintenance needs in areas of consultation and troubleshooting priorities to ensure results.
  • Electrical utility cost and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain project/electrical system documentation.
  • Develops electrical equipment layout, annual and periodic maintenance schedules for process and production equipment.
  • Supports and develops electrical power distribution layout and required switch gear equipment for the facility.
  • Manages the LOTO program for new processes and equipment. Maintains the current LOTO program and procedures.
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components and application
  • Confirms system's components and capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures thorough familiarity with and conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Develops and implements processes that will improve productivity and reduce costs in the overall manufacturing process.
  • Works with property insurance carrier(s) to ensure processes and suggestions are implemented and on-going.
  • Performs other duties as directed or assigned by management


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), MS Project, and AutoCAD.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Must be responsive and manage a multiple of priorities and schedules. Flexible in hours worked. On occasion long hours are expected. Acclimated to mill operations and shutdown environments as well as office environment. Overtime and working "off hours" will occur as a result of system installation and problem resolution. Stressful situations can occur during problem resolutions. Much of the work will be in the manufacturing environment on the operating floor both during running and shutdown conditions. Bend, climb stairs, and access all areas of equipment, including elevated and confined spaces.

SALARY RANGE $78,750 - $114,750 based on experience.
