You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team delivers precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, designing, building and fielding the electrical hardware that powers missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems for the United States and allied militaries.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electrical Engineer you will perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and programming of IRST production hardware while leveraging our PLM tools to document and control the process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Testing, debugging, and programming IRST production WRAs (receiver, processor, IMU, pod) and related circuit-card assemblies.
  • Using Windchill to retrieve drawings, reference manufacturing process plans (MPPs), and record each process step.
  • Isolating and resolving production issues independently and as part of the weekend floor-support team to keep deliveries on schedule.
  • Collaborating with day-shift engineers, suppliers, and quality personnel to hand off findings and corrective actions.
  • Updating work instructions, non-conformance reports, and configuration data to maintain traceability.
  • Participating in root-cause analyses and recommending process improvements that enhance yield and reliability.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and classified-information requirements while working on the floor.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master's degree preferred

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with electrical hardware or a related discipline

- Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, breakout boxes, power supplies, logic/spectrum analyzers, and test stations

- Experience testing and troubleshooting production hardware such as circuit card assemblies (CCAs), harnesses, and electronic WRAs

- Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA)

- Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Desired Skills

- Proven background providing production line support, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions

- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes

- Experience with Windchill or Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools

- Experience with JIRA

- Familiarity with Apriso

- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems

- Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process

- Experience working failure investigation, root cause, and corrective action

- Ability to creatively solve problems and carefully document testing steps and results

- Ability to work either individually or as part of a team to solve production problems

- Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
