Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Digital Design experience with military or space programs.
  • Proficient in design tools like OrCAD Schematic Capture and Altium Designer.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard bus architectures such as VME, cPCI, PCIe is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA).

  • Conduct design activities including schematic capture, design trades, and full functional testing.
  • Engage in peer reviews to support technical development.

Responsibilities:

  • Complexity of Task Assignment - Works on highly complex project systems requiring innovative, original solutions. Exposure to development lifecycle from concept to completion for development programs.
  • Planning - Technical planning, estimates, tracks & completes project on time and within budget.
  • Scope/lmpact - Results are key to successful completion of major projects/programs.
  • Lead/Oversight Responsibilities - Teach and train younger technical staff.
  • Supervision - Works mostly independently with minimal supervision.
  • Guidance - Provides guidance to team.
  • Initiative - Exercises initiative/judgment in work methods and in interpreting goals.
  • Technical Writing - Take on substantial proposal writing sections and design review data packages.
  • Active participation in peer reviews for technical development.
  • Lead EE designs with full design cycle including schematic capture, design trades, interconnections and PCB layout. Participate in design reviews, full functional testing: support process improvements and EE review boards

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

Technical Experience:

  • Familiar with and understands industry best practices.
  • Develops innovative solutions to unique problems.
  • Very familiar with Systematic RCCA processes and ability to follow those methods and generate RCCA reports for the customers
  • Professional abilities & technical accomplishments are recognized throughout the company and within the professional community in the area of expertise.
  • Craft effective strategic technical path to capture significant follow-on business.

Communication/Interpersonal Skills

  • Effectively train/mentor his/her work group and effectively lead work teams within the work group.
  • Give effective presentations to general audiences and writes convincing proposals/reports with all necessary backup material.
  • Resolve divergent technical opinions within team and customer in influencing them.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with MS desired
  • Minimum 5+ years of Digital Design experience with mil-spec or space programs
  • Proficient in development tools for design capture, simulation, and debug. In particular experience with OrCAD Schematic Capture and Altium Designer
  • Some knowledge of industry standard bus architectures such as VME, cPCI, PCIe is highly desired.
  • Familiar with Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and Calculations and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA).
