You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Precision Fires Component Assessment Group (CAG). Our team is responsible for ensuring compliance to Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) requirements, mitigating risks associated with Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Materials (DMSMS), and component obsolescence.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering support to the Precision Fires CAG, driving compliance and risk-mitigation activities across the product life-cycle.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage compliance with the Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) plan requirements and drive Diminished Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS) risk mitigation. Partner with Component Engineers, Systems Engineers, Manufacturing, Procurement, and suppliers to embed quality requirements throughout the product life-cycle.
  • Execute core program-quality functions: contract review, flow-down of quality requirements, and participation in supporting events; audits, corrective action boards, failure review boards, risk boards, etc..
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for the PMP/DMSMS compliance effort.
  • Conduct on-going surveillance of conformance to Lockheed Martin requirements, first-article reviews, product validations, and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and record DMSMS data for OEM, COTS, component, and software items; provides risk-based recommendations to sustainment teams.
  • Review and provide Quality recommendations on Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPARs) and Source Control Drawings (SCDs) at Parts, Materials, and Process Control Board (PMPCB) meetings.
  • Lead resolution of PMP-related non-conformances, drive internal and supplier related corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and ensure timely closure.
  • Schedule and perform program quality audits, independent reviews, and "Return to Green" actions when deviations are identified.
  • Maintain DCMA/customer quality relationships and represent the CAG/DMSMS team in external quality interfaces.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
  • Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree at Bachelor level or higher
  • Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standard and implementation of Quality Management System
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of electronic assemblies
  • Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing , materials and processes used in EEE parts
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Proficient Skill level with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.


Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of PMP and DMSMS related standards and specifications, such as J-STD-001, MIL-HDBK-1250, J-STD-033 and SAE-STD-0016
  • Experience with component level testing to military specifications and engineering requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical.process issues varying from basic to very complex
  • Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience with control and disposition of nonconforming material


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
