Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Reporting To:

Manager Sr., SDG Engineering

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on conceptual design, analysis, development and testing of complex electronics for an onsite position in East Aurora.  You will primarily work in the WNY Defense Electrical Group in an onsite role.

Reporting to the WNY Defense Electrical Engineering Manager, you will perform the conceptual design, analysis, development and testing of complex controls systems used on defense applications.  You’ll be responsible for the development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical and electropneumatic hardware control systems.  It requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, the responsibilities will be:    

  • Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that fosters knowledge sharing and innovation.

  • Support new product and market development by partnering with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Contribute to proposal development, including design concepts, cost estimates, and project schedules.

  • Develop and validate engineering solutions through trade studies, analysis, and experimental testing.

  • Design, simulate, integrate, debug, and test electronic products and systems, working closely with senior engineers.

  • Create and execute comprehensive test programs to ensure reliable, high-quality designs.

  • Document designs, analyses, test results, and engineering changes with clear, concise, and accurate reporting.

  • Collaborate with Assembly and Test technicians, providing guidance and support throughout development activities.

  • Assist in estimating design and development efforts and maintaining accurate engineering records, including tracking changes and their impact on performance.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00–$100,000.00 Annually
