Responsibilities

  • Commission electrical distribution systems from the utility interface to rack including switchgear, UPS, and generators.
  • Develop and execute test scripts for protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load.
  • Oversee NETA testing and vendor startup processes while validating results thoroughly.
  • Conduct integrated systems tests to ensure operations align with design specifications during utility events.

Full Job Description
Role Scope
  • Commission electrical distribution from utility interface to rack: switchgear, UPS, generators, and EPMS from Level 2 through Level 5.
  • Write and run test scripts covering protection, transfer schemes, and failure scenarios at full load.
  • Oversee NETA testing and vendor startups, verifying results rather than filing them.
  • Run integrated systems tests proving the site rides through utility events the way the design says it will.

  • You hold vendors to test standards under schedule pressure.
  • Bonus: MV and HV systems. EPMS platforms. Protective relay testing. PE license.
