ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE (Open to All Levels)

OPERATIONS: MAINTENANCE DEPT - CONTINENTALDAY SHIFT

REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

POSTING #: 94

Open Positions: One (1)

Rate Group: $34.71 - $48.06 dependent on level

Shift Hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm.

Please Note: The successful candidate may be required to change rotations throughout the apprenticeship period to support training & development.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides support in troubleshooting / repairs and system improvements (optimization) to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Establish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required
  • Provides support in testing, repairing, and calibrating electric or electronic components
  • Maintains and upgrades PLC software
  • Analyze records, charts and all documentation required for maintenance records, projects and departments
  • Prepares drawing material specifications to requisitions required by vendors or other departments
  • Develops controls drawings and design concepts
  • Deals with various venders; both supplier and equipment suppliers
  • Responds to all maintenance requirements within the department
  • Participate in ongoing cross-training, multi-skilling activities within the organization
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving results
  • Ensures that all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
  • Knows and understands process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to this job function
  • Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies

  • Performs other duties as required


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated and verifiable experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset
  • Working Knowledge (oral/written) of both English and Mathematics
  • Working knowledge of Safety Standards of Equipment
  • PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience; Allen Bradley
  • Ability to work in various locations within and outside the plant
  • Good attention to detail, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and multiple demands
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision

Working Location: 313 Menno St, Breslau, Ontario, NOB 1M0.

Candidates will need to find their own transportation.

No public transportation available.
