Protecting people, operations, and critical assets is at the heart of this Environmental Health and Safety Specialist role within the Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit. You will help strengthen a proactive culture of environmental, health, safety, and security excellence while supporting zero-harm goals, regulatory readiness, operational resilience, and environmental sustainability. Your work will directly influence how safely and efficiently electrical products are manufactured and how confidently employees, customers, and partners rely on our facility. This opportunity is based at our manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, in an on-site environment, reporting to the EHS Team Lead and collaborating with cross-functional operations teams.
We are hiring for both 1st Shift and 2nd Shift.

You will make an impact by:
• Maintain site compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 1910 standards, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Manage site security protocols, including access control, visitor management, closed-circuit television (CCTV), alarm monitoring, and coordination with third-party guard services to protect employees and company assets.
• Coordinate with external security vendors and third-party guard services to support site integrity, service quality, and asset protection.
• Conduct routine workplace safety and security inspections, hazard assessments, ergonomic reviews, and environmental monitoring; document findings and track corrective actions through closure.
• Support investigations of workplace incidents, near misses, security breaches, and environmental releases; gather relevant information and assist with root cause analysis (RCA).
• Deliver safety and security training, including new-hire orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized regulatory training related to personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard communication, lockout/tagout (LOTO), emergency preparedness, and site security.
• Maintain accurate EHS and security records, compile performance metrics, and prepare reports for operations leadership and regulatory agencies using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Support site-wide initiatives involving PPE compliance, waste management, ergonomics, environmental sustainability, LOTO, hazard communication, and emergency preparedness.
• Other duties as assigned.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Hold a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field; alternatively, have at least 2 years of direct Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or security experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Have 2+ years of experience or practical exposure to EHS and physical security programs in a manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environment.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of OSHA 1910 standards, EPA regulations, and general industrial safety practices.
• Have foundational knowledge of physical security principles, access control systems, visitor management, CCTV, and alarm monitoring.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Have the ability to build effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, leaders, vendors, and cross-functional operations teams.
• Be willing and able to travel less than 5% as required. (Minimal travel expected)
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Equivalent combinations of education, safety training, certifications, and relevant EHS experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Have successfully supported EHS programs in a unionized manufacturing environment, including collaboration with union representatives and frontline employees.
• Demonstrate knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Hold an active OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• Demonstrate strong technical writing skills, including the ability to develop clear and concise EHS and security procedures.
• Have experience supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, environmental monitoring, or regulatory audit preparation.
• Demonstrate experience preparing EHS and security metrics, regulatory reports, or leadership presentations

The pay range for this position is $62,142 - $106,530 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
