SUMMARY:

The EHS Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of occupational safety and environmental compliance at a high-volume bakery manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, Georgia EPD requirements, and corporate EHS policies while driving a strong safety culture across the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards and state/local regulations.
• Lead workplace hazard identification, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and risk assessments.
• Conduct and oversee safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage core safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, confined space entry, ergonomics and repetitive motion prevention, fall protection and ladder safety, PPE program, and bloodborne pathogens/first aid readiness.
• Direct the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Oversee plant safety and environmental programs to ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors, including new hire orientation, refresher training, and task/equipment-specific instruction.
• Lead Safety Committee meetings and ensure employee feedback is incorporated into continuous improvement.
• Support emergency preparedness activities including evacuation planning, fire drills, and coordination with local EMS and Fire authorities.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for safety metrics (TRIR, DART, Lost Time), incidents, and compliance requirements.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping and logs (300, 300A, 301) and track injury rates.
• Ensure site readiness for regulatory inspections by OSHA, Fire Marshal, or other agencies.
• Ensure compliance with Georgia EPD and local environmental regulations related to air, water, waste, stormwater, and hazardous materials.
• Coordinate environmental permit maintenance and updates.
• Perform physical activities including lifting up to 45 lbs, climbing ladders, and using aerial or scissor lifts as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
• 8-10+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing environments (food industry preferred).
• 2-3+ years of direct team management or supervisory experience in an EHS capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards.
• Proven experience in injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and safety training.
• Experience with EHS software tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Construction safety experience is a plus.
• Senior Professional certifications highly preferred: CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
• ASP or OSHA 30-Hour Certification is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Korean preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Teams.
