Qualifications

• Background in Engineering, Science, Safety, or Environmental disciplines preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, engineering, construction management or related preferred.
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance EHS strategy to support both people and business outcomes.
• Be a visible safety leader with strong shop floor presence and mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with Plant Manager and leadership team on EHS initiatives.
• Proactively identify workplace hazards and collaborate to mitigate risks.
• Champion a ZERO HARM culture, driving safe behaviors across the organization.
• Monitor EHS regulatory requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Own environmental programs supporting regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Engage employees to implement continuous EHS improvements.
• Manage EHS documentation, permits, and ensure compliance accuracy.
• Coordinate workers' compensation cases with HR and Legal to achieve outcomes.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
• Facilitate EHS training programs to ensure compliance and understanding.
