Position Summary

The EHS Manager will serve as a full-time, dedicated safety resource, working closely with contractor and project management personnel to implement and administer an approved Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) Project Plan. This role requires complete dedication to the project, with EHS responsibilities serving as the individual's sole function.

The EHS Manager will lead safety and compliance initiatives, ensure regulatory adherence, and actively promote a strong culture of safety across employees, subcontractors, and visitors. You'll be joining a tight-knit, mission-driven team that values straight talk, shared ownership, and getting the job done right.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure alignment of EHS initiatives with organizational objectives and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Organize, conduct, and oversee training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement improvements as needed.
  • Assess workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including emergency response plans.
  • Investigate and document workplace accidents, near-misses, and other incidents.
  • Partner with departments to implement corrective actions and reduce the recurrence of incidents.
  • Stay current on relevant EHS regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare for and lead audits from regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics to monitor performance and identify trends.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management based on data, trends, and observations.
  • Engage employees at all levels to strengthen a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, vendors, and industry groups.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation and records (training, incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance).
  • Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Requirements
  • This position requires a full-time, dedicated EHS professional whose primary responsibility is implementing and administering the ESH Project Plan in coordination with contractor management.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time EHS experience.
  • Data Center Experience.
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 experience required.
  • 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER 40-hour certification required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid required.
  • CSP, or equivalent nationally recognized certification (or eligibility) required.
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with EHS tools/software and standard office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work through problems quickly and effectively and define a clear path to resolution

  • Availability to travel as necessary based in U.S.
