Amazon Web Services (AWS) Edge Services, Perimeter Protection & Content Delivery provides solutions that help customers secure, accelerate, and protect their applications from a variety of attacks and exploits by leveraging the distributed AWS edge and services like Amazon CloudFront, Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS Protection, and Bot mitigation. AWS Perimeter Protection & Content Delivery services are native services that protect and deliver applications both in the cloud and outside of the AWS infrastructure. They leverage massive network capacity and infrastructure, fully managed distributed software, and advanced threat intelligence gathering capabilities to provide security, performance, reliability, and scalability to applications of all kinds.
The Go-To-Market Specialist (GTMS) will be responsible for defining, building, and deploying scalable programs and specific go-to-market strategies that drive the acceleration of customer adoption and support sales activities for our customers and partners. The Edge Perimeter Protection & Content Delivery GTMS will facilitate the enablement of business development, sales, and solution architecture with specific customer centric value propositions. They will act as the voice of the customer/partner, relaying requirements to the product management and development teams. The GTMS will be a part of a global team working closely with other business development, sales, marketing, and partner teams. This position will also work across domains to include adjacent services like application acceleration, networking/hybrid edge, security, and others to drive vision around solutions to common challenges, use cases, and outcomes that help customers innovate, simplify and execute workloads leveraging the AWS edge.
Key job responsibilities
As a GTMS, your responsibilities will focus on finding new markets for our services, working to build repeatable solutions for our sales team to use to delight customers and planning for future services and solutions. In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining strategic business development plans for the Perimeter Protection portfolio and ensure it is well aligned across AWS.
Helping to define customer engagement motions for various market segments, customer profiles, and industries.
Executing the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product/service teams, legal, marketing, support, etc.).
Coordinating the incubation and launch of new services. Being a part of the core team that works with early adopter customers to ensure we have strong references at launch.
Driving campaigns, programs, and processes that create interest, enthusiasm, and adoption of our services.
Implementing plans to ensure sales and partner readiness and enablement as our services evolve and grow as an educator and evangelist.
Understanding the technical, operational, and business requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings with data, customer anecdotes, and observations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- A deep understanding of, and experience with, key Edge, Media, and Content Delivery technology and workflows.
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
