Full Job Description
WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is looking for a skilled and certified Echo Technologist, who will be responsible for processing and testing patients for 2D Echo, Stress Echo, and Contrast Echo. Knowledge of IV insertion is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Description: Echo Technologist

Reporting to: Clinic Leader / Regional Leader

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Greet patient, explain forthcoming tests, position patient and generally prepare him/her for the examination.
• Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summoning medical aid when necessary.
• Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Take all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
• Confirm procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
• Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Prepare and organize reports as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
• 0-5 years of related experience.
• Candidates must be ARDMS or CARDUP certified (Registration with CMRTO is required).
• Current CPR certificate.
• Ability to perform various Echocardiogram machines (primarily Philips iE33, GE Vivid s6, GE Vivid E9).
• The ability to perform Stress and Contrast Echocardiograms is an asset.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
• Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role is for an existing vacancy. The expected hiring range for this role is from $37 - $40 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
