Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a
Drilled Shaft Inspector to join our Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI.
DESCRIPTION:As a
Drilled Shaft Inspector at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to
Quality Control Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Inspect to contract specifications the constructed drilled shafts and testing procedures
- Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work
- Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work
- Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents
- Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
- Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules
- Participate in internal/external quality control audits
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 5 or more years of experience in testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projects
- Previous experience as an Inspector of Drilled Shafts for heavy civil / transit projects
- Active certification for drilled shaft inspection and a bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, construction management or similar are both preferred
- An understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred)
