Role Overview

The Drill and Blast Supervisor will coordinate and oversee all aspects of drill and blast activities, including drill and shovel moves, while ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate drill and blast activities, including moves, in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create and execute safe, viable drill and blast strategies.
  • Provide effective leadership and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and department training.
  • Ensure drill and blast targets are aligned with overall business goals for quality and productivity.
  • Effectively implement and review resource allocation with a focus on drill and blast best practices.
  • Inspect and monitor drill and blast areas and related equipment to identify and resolve any issues.


What You Bring to the Table

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a drill and blast supervisor.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Current blasting certificate or ability to obtain.
  • Advanced knowledge of drill and blasting technical requirements, as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Previous supervisory experience, in an open pit setting.

Working Conditions

  • The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a 14/14 rotation schedule.

Salary Range: $98,600 - $147,900 CAD

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
