Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Application Architect to lead the design, modernization, and governance of enterprise applications built on the Microsoft ecosystem. The role will define architecture standards, guide delivery teams, and drive cloud-native solutions using Azure, .NET, and AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Define application architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Lead application modernization, cloud migration, and transformation initiatives.
Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical governance.
Design API, integration, and event-driven architectures.
Collaborate with business, engineering, infrastructure, security, and data teams.
Mentor development teams and promote architecture best practices.
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.
Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft AI services and platforms.
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in application development and architecture.
Strong expertise in designing enterprise-scale solutions using Microsoft technologies.
Proven experience in application modernization and cloud transformation.
Experience leading architecture governance and technical teams.
Technical Skills
Development: C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs
Azure: App Services, Functions, AKS, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault
Data: SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, Terraform/Bicep
Architecture: Microservices, API-First, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, Cloud-Native Patterns
AI: Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AI solution architecture, Responsible AI principles
Mandatory Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (or equivalent Microsoft AI certification)
Preferred Qualifications
TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
Experience with Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric.
Experience with application portfolio assessment and modernization strategies.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $135000- $160000

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
