Overview

Job Summary:

The Doctor Recruitment Program Manager (East / West) is a senior, results-oriented recruiting leader responsible for driving the end-to-end hiring of specialist doctors across their assigned region at Specialized Dental Partners (SDP). This role owns regional execution-turning national recruitment strategy, programs, and pipelines into successful, timely, high-quality specialist hires.

This is a hands-on recruiting lead role, not a transactional coordinator. The Doctor Recruitment Manager acts as the regional quarterback-deeply involved in sourcing, engaging, evaluating, and closing top specialist candidates-while working cross-functionally to ensure each hire is operationally sound, clinically aligned, and positioned for long-term success.

The role is critical to achieving SDP's growth plans and is measured by quality of hire, acceptance rates, time-to-fill, and post-hire success.

Specialized Dental Partners is building the most respected specialty partnership in dentistry. The Doctor Recruitment Program Manager is pivotal to that mission-ensuring we don't just hire doctors, but bring the right specialists into the right practices at the right time, setting them up to thrive clinically, operationally, and personally.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Regional Doctor Recruiting Ownership
  • Own regional specialist doctor hiring outcomes from initial candidate engagement through signed agreement and start date.
  • Actively source, recruit, interview, and close experienced doctors and residents within assigned markets, leveraging SDP's national recruiting programs and tools.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of regional market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and candidate motivations.

Candidate Evaluation & Selection
  • Partner with the Head of Specialty Doctor Recruitment on clinical vetting, specialty-specific assessment, and final hiring recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Operations and practice leadership to assess market fit, practice needs, ramp-up feasibility, and long-term alignment.
  • Ensure consistent, high-bar evaluation standards while moving with urgency and clarity.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with the Head of Doctor Recruiting Programs to activate and optimize residency, military, referral, and experienced-doctor pipelines within the region.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Doctor Engagement to align recruiting messaging with post-hire onboarding, mentorship, and engagement strategies.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on compliant, efficient hiring processes, offers, and transitions to onboarding.

Pipeline & Execution Management
  • Actively manage regional pipelines, ensuring high-quality follow-up, candidate progression, and timely decision-making.
  • Identify bottlenecks, market challenges, and execution gaps-and proactively propose solutions.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and participate in regular recruiting reviews and forecasting discussions.

Employer Brand & Market Presence
  • Serve as a visible ambassador of SDP in the specialty marketplace.
  • Participate in regional recruiting events, residency interactions, and professional networks to build long-term candidate relationships.
  • Communicate SDP's value proposition clearly: partnership mindset, clinical autonomy, growth support, and long-term career opportunity.

Qualifications

Experience:
  • 7+ years of recruiting experience, including physician, specialist, or executive-level recruiting; dental experience required
  • Proven success recruiting hard-to-hire, high-demand professionals across multi-market regions
  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence clinicians, operators, and executives
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort operating in structured recruiting processes and metrics
  • High ownership mentality-comfortable operating in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment
  • Travel Required: 3-4 days, every other week

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000 per year.
