Network: 6 Mills | 7 Paper Machines
Travel: Regular travel to supported mill locations required


Summary

Greif is seeking an experienced Division Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance across our Sustainable Fiber Solutions mill network.


We’re looking for a true reliability professional who can assess equipment and maintenance practices, identify areas of opportunity, solve recurring problems, and help manufacturing sites implement sustainable improvements.

You’ll partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams across six mills to reduce unplanned downtime, improve equipment availability, and build stronger, more consistent reliability practices across the business.


What You’ll Do
  • Develop and support reliability improvement plans across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Analyze downtime, maintenance, and equipment performance data to identify recurring failures and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with site teams to troubleshoot chronic equipment issues, determine root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment criticality, condition monitoring, lubrication, and outage planning practices.
  • Develop reliability KPIs, reports, and dashboards to track performance and prioritize improvements.
  • Support CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance work processes, including preventive maintenance, asset data, failure coding, reporting, and data quality.
  • Lead reliability assessments, Root Cause Problem Solving activities, and follow-up improvement plans.
  • Provide hands-on reliability and troubleshooting support at mill locations when needed.
  • Develop and share reliability standards, tools, training, and best practices across the mill network.
  • Evaluate reliability technologies and support equipment upgrade, replacement, and capital planning decisions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Typically 12+ years of relevant engineering, reliability, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proven reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, equipment criticality, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance work processes.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, industrial instrumentation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to analyze equipment and downtime data and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, training, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple sites and functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple reliability initiatives and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to supported mill locations.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $129,500.00 - $220,500.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between145,000.00 to165,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
